John’s journey began when he moved to Montana at the age of 10. Growing up on the family ranch, he developed a deep connection with the land and a strong work ethic. Coming from a lineage entrenched in civil construction, John’s path seemed destined from the start.
John pursued higher education at Montana Tech, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management. His professional career took off with Ames Construction in Utah, where he served as a project manager for the Salt Lake City Airport Redevelopment Program. Over four years, he successfully managed several significant projects, including earthwork, underground utilities, and concrete paving, marking the beginning of his heavy civil experience.
After gaining valuable expertise in Utah, John returned to Montana, joining DC Excavation. For a year and a half, he expanded his repertoire in residential and commercial civil construction, focusing on earthwork and underground utilities as a project manager. This experience, combined with his agricultural background, provided him with a well-rounded knowledge base in civil construction.
John is also a licensed drone pilot, holding a Part 107 certification, which is essential for commercial drone operations. His hands-on experience in both agricultural and civil construction, coupled with his technical skills, gives him a unique perspective on the challenges faced in the industry.
John’s background ensures that he is not just someone behind a computer screen. He has been in the trenches, understands the issues people encounter on-site, and knows the kind of information they need. His comprehensive experience makes him a valuable resource and a trustworthy professional in the field of construction management.
